1th. day: Leave from Huaraz to 8:00 am to Cuartelhuain. (3900 m.a.s.l) drive like a 6 hours .On the way we can see the villages Llamac, Pocpa, Pallca.
2th. day: Cuartelhuain (3900 m.a.s.l) – Mitococha Lake. ( 4100 m.a.s.l) hike of 6 to 7 hours. crossing the first pass of Cacananpunta (4700 meters).From where we can observe the beautiful snow-capped Ninashanca and Rondoy mountains and three lakes; Pucacocha, Yanacocha Chico and Grande. We will descend to the village of Janca
3th. day: Mitococha Lake (4100 m.a.s.l) - Carhuacocha Lake (4138 m.a.s.l). hike of 5 to 6 hours. after the breakfast we will begin to raise towards the second pass of Punta Carhuac (4650 m.a.s.l). Descend through the valley to our camp at Carhuacocha, where we'll have a panoramic view of Jirishanca Chico, Jirishanca Grande, Yerupaja Chico, Toro, Yerupaja Grande, Siula and Caricero Mountains.
4th day: Resting Day: Around the Carhuacocha Lake: This day we'll have breakfast a little late, according to you likes, after breakfast we will have many alternatives to do in this awesome place, maybe go fishing, or visit the mirador point where we will can see the three famous lakes, or just walk around lake or wash your clothes, so according you likes , our camp in the same place at 4138 m.a.s.l
5th. day: Carhuacocha Lake (4100 m.a.s.l) - Huayhuash (4300 m.a.s.l). At 8 am after breakfast we start our trek, going up for one hour we will get easy trail even going up but not so difficult to get the Carnicero Pass at 4600, after the pass there are scenic places to have lunch next to the Carnicero lakes, from here a few kilometers going-down we'll arrive to our camping place Huayhuash, 4300 m.a.s.l
6th. day: Carhuacocha Lake (4100 m.a.s.l) - Huayhuash (4300 m.a.s.l). Hike of 6 to 7 hours over the third pass of Carnicero (4850 m.a.s.l), where we'll have a panoramic view of Jirishanca Chico, Jirishanca Grande, Yerupaja Chico, Toro, Yerupaja Grande, Siula, Carnicero, Trapecio, Puscanturpas, Millpo Mountains and the Cordillera Raura. Descend between the middle of Lakes Atocshaico and Carnicero, observing the peaks of Jurau, Carnicero and Trapecio.
7th day: Huayhuash (4300 m.a.s.l) - Viconga Lake (4400 m.a.s.l). Hike of 5 to 6 hours. Crossing the fourth pass, Portachuelo (4750 m.a.s.l). Nice view of the peaks of Puscanturpa, Cuyoc, Millpo, and part of the Cordillera Raura. Arrival to our campsite at Viconga (4400 m.a.s.l) where you will have the afternoon to enjoy soaking in the thermal waters of Atuscancha (4400 m.a.s.l).
8th. day: Laguna Viconga (4400 meters) – Pampa Cuyoc (4400 m.a.s.l) Hike of 4 to 5 hours, crossing the fifth and highest pass, Cuyoc (5000 meters). where we'll have a panoramic view of the Cordillera Raura, Pumarinri, Cuyoc Central, Puscanturpa, Puscanturpa Sur o Nevado Cuyoc, Trapecio, Quesillo, Huaraca, Jurau, Carnicero, Sarapo, Siula, Yerupaja grande, Rasac, Seria, Huacrish, Angoscancha, Cerros Rosario o Caramarca, Juitushhuarco Mountains.Descending to the camp site.
9th.day: Pampa Cuyoc (4400 m.a.s.l) - Huayllapa (3600 m.a.s.l) 5 a 6 horas. Guanacpatay (m.a.s.l) - Huayllapa (3500 m.a.s.l). Hike of 5 to 6 hours, descending through the long Guanacpatay Valley, down to the village of Huayllapa camp site.
10th: day: Huayllapa (3500 m.a.s.l) – Jashpa pampa (4600 m.a.s.l) Base Camp of Diablo Mudo. Hike of 5 to 6 hours, crossing the sixth pass of Punta Tapush (4900 m.a.s.l). The mountain peaks of Auxilio and Diablo Mudo are in clear view. Jashpa pampa camp site
11th day: Jashpa pampa (4600 m.a.s.l) - Jahuacocha (4100 m.a.s.l). Hike of 4 to 5 hours. Departure after the breakfast, up to the seventh pass, Yaucha (4800 m.a.s.l), from where both groups start the descent later through Wacrish Valley. Here we can see the Jirishanca and Yerupaja Mountain. Arrival to Lake Jahuacocha, camp.
12th. day: Day to relax at Lake Jahuacocha (4100 m.a.s.l).Celebration the long hike with the typical Peruvian dish, “Pachamanca”. You may also take the chance to for for a short walk from the camp to Lake Solterococha and to the base of the Jirishanca Mountain.
13th. day: Laguna Jahuacocha (4100 m.a.s.l.) - Llamac (3250 m.a.s.l). Hike of 5 to 6 hours over the last pass, Pampa de Llamac (4300 m.a.s.l). We will get our last glimpse of the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Huayhuash. Llamac - Chiquián (3400 m.a.s.l) about 2 hours by bus, travelling along the same path on which we began our journey. Transfer from Llamac to Chiquián then to Huaraz. End of services.
